About Me: Alex

I have always had a big interest in media studies. I took it at GCSE and now at A-Level. Journalism has always interested me and always been the path of direction that I want to follow. I've worked with the bbc doing filming and i believe this helps me understand how media works, especially when shooting a music video or a television programme.
A-level media introduced me to new programmes such as final cut and garage band which I found difficult at the start but can see how it makes media work look effective and good.
In media I like to work in teams as you find that lots of peoples ideas can go together to make one better idea. Sometimes you reach disagreements but any group can overcome that.

I like this video because it is so simple yet effective. Throughout the whole video it shows just 3 people dancing rather than focusing on a story. This video also became a very iconic dance routine and look. It shows the female representation of being strong and independant. This video became a huge internet sensation and was a very poular video to do a pardoy of. The video is shot mostly from a long shot as it shows off the coreography and a few close ups of Beyonce as she reamains in the middle throughout while singing. The whole video is shot in black and white so there is nothing main to focus on and just watch the video as it is.
