How we used Slow Motion
During the editing process, myself and Sophia decided it would be useful to create a separate effects timeline which would be useful when creating effects in the video. We entitled this timeline 'FX'
I then searched for a video tutorial on YouTube on how to achieve this effect using FinalCut. We have also created our own YouTube channel 'ProductionsTopHat' this facilitates the process of uploading videos onto Blogger, it's easy to embed the video the link onto the blog.
After watching the video, we then applied the tutorial advice to our own work.
1. Select the desired footage you wish to slow down.
2. Click on 'Modify'
3. Click 'Speed'
4. Change the speed to the desired setting

Rough cut
Audience feedback 04.01.12
- Really good idea, some shots were quite long maybe make them a bit more fast paced
- I liked the fact that the video was shot in black and white - locations were good
- Went really well with genre
- Black and white went well, liked the story line
- Like the pill idea for album cover, maybe also in black or white
- I like the underground sign for the album cover, but the writing as the same font as the actual underground sign
- Like the black and white, like the underground cover
- Good covers, needs developing - ideas are there. Video - great idea - needs tightening
- Fantastic idea of silent film. Make sure you find good links between your video and album cover ie. Dont put aspirin in the cover just because its called Aspirin

Pink panther exercise
First of all we had to import the track onto final cut express. We then had to find 3-4 pictures to upload which we wanted to use in our editing exercise. We put the track and 2 pictures into our sequence. We used one picture to stay underneath on V1 and added another picture onto V2. We then listened to the track and marked when ever we heard the saxophone on the track. We then clicked where it was marked on the second picture and this cut it up to the beat of the track. Then we deleted every other top image to give room for the bottom image to show through when the track played. Later on we added another picture when the sound of the saxophone carried the same note. We thought this gave it a funnier affect. After we had finished that, we added one more picture at the beginning of the song before the changing beats started and cut the music at the beginning and at the end. We also did a transition fade at the beginning and at the end and ended with our final version.
